Yoash Limon is a certified tour guide who specializes in the Negev desert of Israel.

Resident of Mitzpe Ramon in the middle of the Negev, Yoash has been living and guiding

in the desert for nearly a decade.

In 2006 he graduated, with honors, from the national school of tourism in Tel Aviv, and in the last five years has gone back to that school, and other tourguide training programs, as a teacher- responsible for leading classes in the Negev. Before becoming an independent tourguide, Yoash used to be the back-country ranger at Bandelier national monument in New Mexico. After returning to Israel Yoash moved to Mitzpe Ramon and joined the staff of the field school of the Society for preservation of nature in Israel.

Yoash volunteers with the regional search and rescue unit and a certified rappelling guide. With these skills he has broadened the range of hikes and treks that are offered – ranging from historical tours and geological quests, to rappelling trips through desert canyons and multiple days treks.

Through his connections with the local business community and various tour operators in the area, Yoash will be happy to tailor the right tour for you- depending on the time you have and your personal interests, or recommend one of our organized trips which you can see in our Private tour page.
